Descrizione: Pietro Valpreda è additato come uno dei possibili esecutori, insieme a Pinelli, della strage di Piazza Fontana. Viene incarcerato. Passerà quattro anni da recluso prima di essere rilasciato nel 1972. Valpreda era stato arrestato quattro giorni dopo lo scoppio della bomba alla Banca dell’Agricoltura nel centro del capoluogo milanese il 12 dicembre del ’69, insieme al ferroviere Giuseppe Pinelli, che quattro giorni dopo morì cadendo dalle finestre della Procura di Milano mentre veniva interrogato. Arrestato sulla base della testimonianza di un tassista, che alla polizia disse: “Si è diretto con una borsa verso la Banca dell’Agricoltura, quando è tornato dopo pochi attimi, non aveva più la valigetta…”. L’ex ballerino negò sempre ogni coinvolgimento, ma rimase comunque in carcere fino al 1972, quando la pressione dell’opinione pubblica costrinse il governo ad emettere un decreto legge che ridusse i termini della carcerazione preventiva. Grazie alla legge che è ricordata con il suo nome, l’anarchico uscì dal carcere: di sue responsabilità nella strage, oltre alla testimonianza del tassista, non si trovò mai alcuna traccia.

Description: Pietro Valpreda is identified as one of the possible executors, along with Pinelli, of the Piazza Fontana massacre. He is jailed. He spent four years as a recluse before being released in 1972. Valpreda was arrested four days after the bomb exploded at the Banca dell’Agricoltura in the center of the Milanese capital on 12 December 1969, together with the railwayman Giuseppe Pinelli, who four days later he died falling from the windows of the Milan Public Prosecutor’s office while he was interrogated. Arrested on the basis of the testimony of a taxi driver, who said to the police: “He headed with a bag to the Agriculture Bank, when he returned after a few moments, he no longer had the briefcase …”. The former dancer always denied any involvement, but remained in jail until 1972, when public pressure forced the government to issue a decree that reduced the terms of preventive detention. Thanks to the law that is remembered with his name, the anarchist left the prison: of his responsibility in the massacre, besides the testimony of the taxi driver, no trace was ever found.
