Descrizione: L’immagine in questione raffigura degli addetti al restauro,volontari e giovani provenienti da tutta Italia all’interno della Galleria degli Uffizi, nell’atto di recuperare e risanare alcune importanti opere colpite a seguito dell’alluvione del 4 Novembre 1966 a Firenze.Quest’ultime, poste al piano terreno,furono completamente ricoperte da acqua,fango e nafta,che andarono a infociare poi su ben 18 chilometri di documenti di ogni tipo danneggiati (tra cui 4 milioni di libri) e 14.000 opere d’arte,senza escludere arazzi,arredi sacri,strumenti musicali e porte cinquecentesche di inestimabile valore.

Description: The picture at issue figures some restoration workers,volunteers and young boys and girls coming from all around Italy within the Uffizi Gallery,while recovering and restoring some important works stricken by the flood occured on November 4th 1966, in Florence.These latters,kept in the ground floor,got totally covered by water,mud and naphtha,which ruined, furthermore,18 kilometres of omnifarious documents (including 4 million books) and 14 thousand works of art,without ruling out arrasses,holy furniture,musical instruments and invaluable doors of the 16th century.
