Descrizione: Il 2 ottobre la piazza delle Tre Culture era in stato d’assedio, con 8000 effettivi dell’esercito, della polizia e dei servizi segreti che presidiavano Tlatelolco. Tale massacro fu preceduto da inquietudini politiche nella capitale messicana, con manifestazioni e proteste studentesche per appoggiare gli eventi che andavano accadendo durante il 1968. Le manifestazioni crebbero a tal punto che il 2 ottobre, dopo 9 settimane di sciopero studentesco, le forze militari e politiche circondarono la piazza e aprirono il fuoco sui civili.

Description: On October 2, the Three Cultures Square was under siege, with 8000 troops from the army, police and secret services guarding the Teltelolco. This massacre was preceded by political unrest in the Mexican capital, with demonstrations and student protests to support the events that occurred in 1968. The demonstrations increased to such an extent that on October 2, after 9 weeks of student strike, the military and political forces surrounded the square and opened fire on civilians.
